Wrens sign Nigel Jemson

Former Forest star signs for Rainworth Miners Welfare

Born in Hutton Nigel started his career as a trainee at Preston North End. He was soon spotted by Brian Clough and duly signed for Nottingham Forest in 1988. After three successful years at Forest Nigel moved to Sheffield Wednesday for £800,000. He then figured in big money transfers to Notts County, Oxford United and Bury whilst also fitting in loan spells at Bolton Wanderers, Preston North End, Grimsby Town, Watford, Coventry City and Rotherham United. In 1999 Nigel moved to Scotland to play for Ayr United before returning south to play for Oxford United again and Shrewsbury Town. Nigel Jemson shot back into the limelight at Gay Meadow when he scored the goals that knocked Everton out of the FA Cup.
