    Although The Wrens managed to get the result, this was for me a very scrappy performance where we rode our luck for much of the game. I was baffled by the manager's decision to play what looked like a 6-1-3 formation when the team didn't have the ball. There was very little communication and Ant Lynam didn't have his best game for the club (although that was as much down to the service he wasn't getting).

    Although this post is quite negative I have been delighted by the start to the season and think The Wrens could have a really good first season at this level. No player looks over-awed by the quality they come up against, and certainly no player looks out of their depth.

    Good luck on Tuesday against Arnold.
